Being open to ideas along with taking the appropriate actions will lead you to new opportunities, help you become more valuable to your employer, and ultimately help you earn more money.

So, no matter where you are in your life, or what industry or business you’re in, if you want to earn more money, then you need to ask yourself this question: How can I add more value?

Take the first step toward adding more value. Make a list of the top 10 skills you need for your career and rate yourself from 1 — 10, with 10 being excellent. From this list, choose your top three, and come up with a few action steps that you are willing to commit to… and make them a priority. Set your schedule. Mark your calendar. Whatever it takes to keep you on track toward gaining skills and adding value.
